Thursday Edition of "Glad Wednesday is Over!"

I think Monday-Wednesday was the longest 1/2 week of my life! Each day I was convinced it was Friday.

First, Ky was teaching her lesson to kindergarten on Wednesday. She was so excited all week and planning everything out through the final "what if..." detail. I was so nervous for her as I hoped it was going to go as well as she KNEW it would. No lack of self-confidence in her--she nailed the lesson! But more importantly, she left her class with her students LOVING her even more. They were excited to have "fun" in kgn--broke my heart at the same time it warmed it.

Second, basketball try-outs were MON-WED. Kole was trying out for the 8th grade team and the 8th grade coach is Kevin. Both of them were stressed beyond belief (but wouldn't verbalize it to each other) about the "what if" Kole doesn't make it possibility. 4 new boys had moved into Aragon who were all SURELY basketball players, which meant some of the players who made it last year wouldn't make it this year. Oh, the tension was high! What was really hard on Kevin is he's known many of these boys since they were very little and played on various teams with Kole. 80-something players cut to 30 wasn't fun, but Kole earned a spot on the team! WHEW!!!

So, I'm glad Wednesday is over and that it was win-win for all involved!
