Boot Camp Day 1--DONE!!

When the alarm went off at 4:20 and it was raining outside, I really wanted to stay in bed!  However, I threw my contacts in, grabbed a cereal bar, and 2 bottles of water and was out the door!  I loved listening to the KSBJ Christmas music and liked the 15 minute drive as I never seem to drive anywhere anymore (Kole escorts me everywhere and work is only 5 minutes) so it was nice driving.  If it wouldn't have been raining and in the low 50s, Ky would've called it a "drive with the windows down with the music cranked" type of drive.

When I got to Sandlot, I pulled in behind the instructor's car.  "Marine Corps" was what framed his license plate--GREAT!  And I was the only one there.  Anne arrived right before 5:00 and we warmed up with some basic stretching.  Yes, I was breathing a bit hard after that--I told you I was out of shape!  We then did some lower body work, but mostly abs and arm work.  It was like having our own personal trainer--just the 2 of us!

Throughout the day I felt great!  I kept moving at work and drank lots of water.  There was one point where I sat for aobut  45 minutes and could then "feel it" when I got up, but otherwise, it was great.  Maybe he was just going easy on us the first day so we'd return.

I made it home by 6:20, showered, and was at work by 6:45--love living that close to work!  Love the feeling that I accomplished it!
