What a Week!

WOW!  Last week was a whirlwind!

I had originally signed-up for 3 days of boot camp.  I have a meeting every FRI at 7:00 AM and thought I'd be pushing it if I signed up for the 4th day to get there on time.  However, after really enjoying the physical challenge and getting to work by 6:45 M-W, I added an additional day of boot camp.

Friday I was second-guessing myself though.  The entire workout was focused on endurance.  By 1:00, the after-effects had hit me.  I was wiped.  Unsure if it was the workout that wiped me or my body just adjusting to getting up at at 4:20 each morning (which 3/4 of the days it was 3:30 AM that I was up instead--unsure why!)  Left work at 4:00, which I think was the earliest ever!

By 4:30 we were in the truck and heading to A&M.  We took Kylie out to dinner and then toured the Santa Wonderland lights up there.  We've done that for several years, but still enjoyed it.  I know Ky is very anxious to have this semester behind her.  Her 5 weeks off will fly by fast though!  Looking forward to her arriving home on TU.

Saturday I was up earlier than I had hoped, so I took KJ for a 45 minute walk.  Although it was cold out due to the wind, I enjoyed seeing the yard decorations and different morning smells--laundry, bacon, and sweets.  KJ was in heaven as it's been awhile since we went walking.   I then headed out to the baseball field--OMG it was freezing!  Sitting out there in the wide-open fields was not fun.  I guess the boys were so active they didn't notice it.  2 jackets, ear band, gloves, and a blanket wasn't enough.  I don't know how I'm going to survive the Iowa & Michigan temps.  It was 7 degrees there SAT.  That night we went to Sandlot for their XMAS party.   It was a full day of baseball, but wouldn't trade it for anything--love these times!

This morning I went to church and heard the message of JOY.  Sometimes I realize I'm so caught-up in getting everything done I don't take the time to experience the JOY.  I'll work on that this week!

This next week will go by super-fast as we have something going on almost every day at home or work.  However, when this week is over, ONLY 2 MORE WORK DAYS of 2011!
