Thursday night/Friday morning I woke up at 1:30 with Busy Brain and couldn't fall back to sleep. 4:20 the alarm went off for Boot Camp. Oh, my, was that a rough session when my body was too tired to move, let along do 100 jumping jacks, jump rope, burpees, mountain climbers, pushing/pulling pitching frames, box jumps, squats, push-ups, planks, sandbells, lunges, and not enough water! Came home and had to fry eggs to give me some protein.
Went to work and all started out pretty normal. Seemed like quite a few bus incidents I helped resolve, fire drill, staffing, checking in on some students, pretty normal. Then I helped with an investigation the rest of the day and ended the day with a parent conference. When I left work, my head was throbbing. I came home and layed in bed. The boys were at baseball try-outs so I had about an hour to myself. I couldn't believe how bad my head hurt. Once it got dark and quiet I figured it out--no water to drink other than boot camp, only yogurt to eat since breakfast, and short 3 hours of sleep! So I had deprived my brain of food, water, and rest. I had only had 350 calories so far that day, so I could still have almost a 1000 with my exercise figured in. I called the boys and asked them to bring me something home from drive-thru. My Whataburger meal left me only 45 calories to spare!
I went to bed at 8:30 and feel great today since I gave my brain what it needed! So now you know why it felt like Friday the 13th and why I didn't blog last night!
