Dear Kylie,
I've been thinking lately about the people in your life who've had an influence on you and quite possibly may have influenced you to choose education as a career. You've had several teachers who've impacted you.
I'd like to say your first influence was when you were in kindergarten and pulled out for GT. You had an awesome teacher many of those days--me!
When you were in third grade, Mrs. Flores was a big influence on you. Not only did she provide many opportunities for you academically that you found interesting, but she also took an interest in you outside of school. You even went to Splashtown with her!
In middle school, Ms. O'Donnell was a teacher you enjoyed. Really the only other teacher you tolerated in middle school was your dad! WOW--to have both of your parents be able to educate you and NOT by homeschooling! How many people can claim that? Lucky You!
In high school (your least favorite schooling experience) you've had 3 teachers that I think have influenced you the most. Mrs. Breerwood was a math teacher (can't recall if algebra or geometry), Mrs. Douglas is your economics teacher, and Mrs. Warwick is your RST teacher. Labeaux influenced you in your desire to play water polo and love that sport, so I guess she'd be considered an influence also.
You're lucky to have had good role models. Anxious for you to be that role model for others!
