Dear Kylie,
Although Warren is a good family friend, you didn't get a chance to see him as often as you would have liked just because we lived about 30 minutes from each other. It was important to me to help you find friends in the neighborhood. At age 3, what was I thinking? So whenever possible, and almost every day after work, we would walk to the Park Falls Park. You loved it there with all the equipment and sand. Soon we noticed another girl and her mom would always be there in the afternoon as well. We soon learned that she lived only a block from us. You and Megan hit it off! You would do everything together. She even helped cheer at the Hamilton sporting events (you both were only 3) and wore black and gold--so cute! You both loved watching the Olsen Twins on TV. You carried it to the extreme though, trying to be Mary Kate and Ashley! You would try to dress alike each day. You even tried to trick us moms into pretending to be each other! One summer you two went to Sea World camp together and stayed with Megan's grandparents. Just as you were a part of her family, Megan was a part of ours.
It seemed like you'd be friends forever. I think at one time you even planned on rooming together in college. But as we've learned in life, sometimes friendships change. I don't recall anything "BIG" happening with this friendship, rather it was more like you both got involved in your interests that took up a lot of time. It was through that friendship you learned a lot--how to politely say "no thank you" to foods you didn't like, spending the night away from parents, how to tolerate/enjoy a "big" sister, how to be creative and just hang out. The "Mary Kate and Ashley Days" were good days!
